Hi Jens, I have a W60, as do a few others in my marine research group. It works well, though I the menu system to change settings is slightly annoying - I like moving through with dials, but to make the waterproofing better it's all buttons. The picture quality is good and I have blown some images up to A3 size and they still look good. 28mm wide angle equivalent is a nice to have.
The battery has a limited life. This is ok if you want a camera that can survive a dunking, but will mostly stay dry. If you are snorkelling don't swim around with it turned on. It's real annoying to get out, rinse and dry the camera before changing the battery and getting back in the water. As with all small cameras the macro gives you little to no working distance and the flash is next to useless (for macro, ok for normal pictures, though under water the range is limited). For me it gets used in a limited range of environments, but they are the ones it's designed for - being stuck under water (but not too far) and when weather conditions stop me from taking out the K10D with DFA 100 WR macro attached. Hope this helps.
