good information, thanks. It would be nice to test/compare
the other three 50mm's   K/M/A   F/1.4 too.

Ok, they've been worn out for longer than some here have been alive. But I
decided to put the FA50/1.4 on a tripod and shoot it against Will post links
later.  Have class tonight.

1.  Super Tak 55/1.8
2.  Praktika Pentacon 50/1.8

Results:
1.  Nothing compares to the FA.  It is far and away so outstanding. 2.  The
two M42s are very similar. 2.1  Pentacon wins with color quality.  (given
the ST is a bit yellowed.) 2.2  Resolution is roughly equivalent.
