Thanks, Jack...(and Paul and Godders....) I know there are lots of varieties ... no black freckles on this one... I"ve gathered about 2/3rds of the shots for the calendar and I'm just going to face having the simple names on them as I'm using several cultivated flowers..

When I phot them in a botanical garden / park - I try to note the specific variety if it is labeled.

starting work on a flower calendar for 2011 .... this is
the first that is in my layout style...

I believe these are true lilies , not day lilies... they
were planted along a walking path in the Hudson Valley --
not wild...
anyone recognize this exact variety?
