Hopefully the Sony sensor has low enough native noise to allow for DFS to be disabled completely. I suspect, given the early problems with the K20 and the mobile hot pixels that the K20/K7 sensors are just very noisy by nature and are taking a lot of in camera processing to tame down. It's not a big secret that the Samsung sensor never did live up to it's expectations in this regard.
