It's often worth checking out pawn shops. A few years ago our local Cash Converters stocked a bit of interesting camera gear, usually at an inflated price. On one occasion I noticed a Tamron ES adapter for the Adaptall system for $25. As I'd been looking for that adapter and the price was a bit less than what they bought on EBay on the rare occasions that they appeared there, I was interested. When I had a closer look, I found the adapter was attached to a Tamron SP 1:3.5-3.8 24-48mm zoom - at which point I paid my $25 and walked out of the shop as quickly as possible....
