It is true that during this visit we had lovely weather, which was a
problem because I would have preferred overcast skies for photography
reasons.  Actually, I could adjust this photo in PS:

where I have included the original for comparison.   The shadows
aren't quite as stark, although the presence of real shadows gives
away the real nature of the light.
