If a few sample pics I saw tell the truth, the K-5 is roughly a couple
stops ahead of that. We'll see soon.

Dario, Paul, the K-5 samples I saw are indeed very impressive but technology keeps moving on. Also, one does not necessary have to shoot at ISO above 6400. It seems that Godfrey knows exactly what he is doing and he is doing it really well if you ask my opinion.

Imagine a camera like Nikon D800 or Canon 5DMkIII that will use the same kind of technology that K-5 is using but on full frame sensor...
