Thats a little backwards. Seems to me he would be using the calendar to sell the images.

Sorry to dredge up this old thread but I have a question.  Paul,
you mention presenting "as ... artistic material".  Does that
mean presenting it as such without selling it?  So, for example,
if I made a calendar of photos and offered it on Cafe Press (or
someplace like that) for sale, would I need to worry about model
releases for recognizable individuals?
