most submachines don't go that long on a full clip ]=)
Actually, the M1928A1 had a a 600RPM cyclic rate and would take just
about 3 sec to empty a 30 round mag.
M2HB, although it's not a submachine gun, has a 450 - 575RPM cyclic
rate, and would get about 5 sec off a 50 round belt. You could probably
set it down to 20 rounds in 3 sec at the lower end of that.
