Most of the houses on our street are small cottages much like this one (about two doors north of our building): Modest, but well-kept and quite charming. I thought the few back-lit leaves left on this tree, along with the fallen leaves were, to say the least, seasonal. By this weekend, I don't think there'll be many leaves left anywhere in our neighbourhood.
