I am in the opposite ugrade path as you Boris (*ist Ds, K20D,...). So I skipped
the K10D (with great efforts) and when the K20D came out I remember that the
comments were that it had a great sensor less noisy than the K10D sensor
(there were a lot of people complaining that the 'old' 6mpix sensor was better
for low light than the K10D's 10mpix one).

You may be in the luckier phase than me, Jaume.

And then the K-7 came out and in a few months its sensor (evolution of the
K20D's) was totally crap...¿?

I presume the question sign upside down is also a question sign :-). Not totally crap. It still takes pictures :-). But the advantages it offers (5 fps, 720p video, ISO 6400) are important for some and irrelevant for others. I can hardly remember a time when I actually shot in machine gun mode and even then I would slow down to 3 fps in camera settings. I shot about dozen video clips out of which half are for family album and hence important and one or two are useful for other memories. It hardly justifies it. However I was longing for better DR and got nothing. Still appreciate my K10D.

(Ah...according to my path, it's time for a K-5...let's see if I manage to
resist until the summer...)

Being the man who brings the rumors you may have more reasons to hold out as it could be that K-4 will come out and I will start biting my elbows (rather futile occupation) again.

Boris
