I've managed to get my 1.7x TC to focus with a Tokina 400mm f/5.6 and a Sigma CAT 400mm f/5.6, but it does need good light. I've had no issues whatsoever with a 200mm f/4. For shits and giggles I once mounted the TC on a Sigma CAT 600mm f/8 and did get it to AF; it was very sunny and I chose contrasty subjects, but I was still impressed. All this on my K10D, by the way. --M. -- \/\/o/\/\ --> http://WorldOfMiserere.com http://EnticingTheLight.com A Quest for Photographic Enlightenment -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
