Hey Bob,

>Yes, the SO can get a bit cranky when you're on the Internet.
>I don't know what 'slam notes about getting down the cat box' are,
>but they don't let us box up our cats here unless they are dead.
><g>

I didn't proof read my email. I said 'slam notes' whe I really meant she
was writing me notes and slamming them down on my desk (while ducking
low-flying broomsticks) and intimidating me with threats that if I didn't
get the 'cat box' down from it's place in the (f)utility room, I was a
dead man. The cat box itself is one of those plastic affiars with a wire
door on one end for transporting cats between a sleepy corner and the
vets. We have one cat that we have been trying to shove worming tablets
down her mouth for nearly 8 years without success. (Okay wise-guys with
cats reading this thinking, ' Daaaaah- it's easy, you just gotta know
how.' I say 'YOU TRY!!!'. We have tried coaxing, shoving, decoying,
camouflaging, seducing, sedating, tricking, contorting, everything! No
way. Two of us with gardening gloves on and farrier's trousers (heavy
leather pants) might *appear* to get it in after a ten minute fight to
near death, but you could sit there frozen, tapping her throat for 20
minutes, and as soon as you release her, up it pops - out onto the floor,
a soggy mess of expensive worming tablet. She bolts and that's that. Much
easier for the vet to do it - I assume he surgically opens her gut and
implants the blasted thing straight in - can't be any other way....

>And wait until your kids are old enough to want the Internet connection...
>I have to get up at 5:30 AM to have access time.

Hmm, my son is 8, uses an ageing PowerBook, but so far so good: he's
still young enough to hate girls, and his pals are all to stupid to sort
put email yet, so I reckon we're safe for about 3 or 4 years? You have my
sympathy!

Best,

Cotty

PS - congrats on the 85mm f/1.8 !!!! Nice one :-)
