On an interesting note, I found a local Walgreens lab that has Noritsu machines instead of the Fujis. Since the staff seems as (un)knowledgeable as all the other Walgreens one-hour labs I can only assume it is the machines which do a much better job of scanning. I'm still looking for my own scanner though.
