Has pentaxforums.com been taking advice from Ken Rockwell? Look at the image they show in the "Custom Image Functions" section; They show a "natural" image, and one with saturation, contrast and sharpness turned up. That's fine if they're just showing you what the options are, but earlier on in the "Recommended Settings" section they suggest using the "Vibrant" setting as the in-camera default. I think the resulting image is way, way over-saturated; it makes Velvia (or Kodak E100VS) look tame. I could perhaps see using this setting occasionally (on overcast days, for example), but as the default for in-camera JPEG processing? No way! -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
