Last weekend when I got my scanner, I was disappointed because some file from Adobe was preventing me from installing the Elements 6 that came with.
I finally got around to googling the problem. Adobe has a nice web site detailing all the steps to remove the offending files. And they also have a "cleanup" app to help get any files you might miss.
