It's hard not to notice things to photograph on it. I really was trying to photograph the stump, preferably getting a shot of the stump and the mushrooms. When I started digging it out, I noticed how wonderfully tentacular the root system is. Last night was my first attempt at photographing it. My goal is to use light to isolate the roots from the background, but I'm having a tough time trying to figure out how to do that. I hope to get back to physically isolating the roots more in the near future. With more space between them and the dirt, visual isolation may be easier.
