I didn't see the original version, just the horizontal final version. I was 
grateful to have the horizontal - on a laptop, two images above one-another 
results in two small images with much wasted screen real-estate.
Based on your introductory text, I started through the set expecting to look at 
pairs of images. And then the first two images were such a contrast that it 
made me wonder if you really intended to make such a strong statement about the 
differences in the two countries or if perhaps I misunderstood. As I continued 
through, some of the pairs seemed to reflect a comparative point of view, and I 
decided that the first pair was just an anomaly.
I like the concept, and I like many of the individual images. I am very struck 
by many of your people-pictures, and the shot of the dogs under the graffiti 
provides a great sense of place.
