Hi Kenton - welcome! Christine has explained the main acronyms - you might find the PDML FAQ useful. It was compiled some time ago but we tend to forget it's available: http://pdmlpug.org/?page_id=47 If you're on Linux, the GIMP plus the UFRaw plug in would be worth a try - certainly the price is right! As for other resources on digital photography, there are lots of good resources and tutorials on line; Eg: * Digital Photography Tutorials: http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tutorials.htm * The Luminous Landscape: http://www.luminous-landscape.com/index.shtml * Photography BB - free online Photography Magazine: http://www.photographybb.com/magazine/ Cheers Brian ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Brian Walters Western Sydney Australia http://lyons-ryan.org/southernlight/ -- -- http://www.fastmail.fm - mmm...
