Ok, so finally, I have some time to breathe! I have just returned from a
month of travels, with three separate interstate trips (a week in
Wollongong, a week in Sydney and another week in Perth). These trips
combined resulted in me completing a total of 35 portrait sittings, 7 full
day commercial shoots, and a total of 6500 frames captured (yes, in less
than one month!).

I am freakin' buggered...

So now I am home, and have actually unpacked my suitcases for the first time
in six months. I have promised my poor kids that I am not going to do any
actual shoots for the entire remaining duration of December and for the
first two weeks of January, when it will, of course all begin again...

The newest (commercial) stuff that I have around the place can be found
here:

www.bowtique.com.au (my shots are on the home page slideshow, which they
have trashed with their stretching/cropping of them for the dimensions of
the slideshow, I wish people would learn how to do these things properly!).

www.cushietushies.com.au (just round up a huge (and fun, and VERY messy!)
campaign for these guys! They will be slowly releasing images in coming
months, but there is some stuff on the home page of the site. You can see a
full gallery here: http://www.lovebytes.com.au/cushietushies/fulllmontygal/
and here: http://www.lovebytes.com.au/cushietushies/fulllmontygal2 (the last
shot in the second gallery is my hands down favourite!(you'll need a
username/password to access it which are: username: pdml password:pdml10 -
oh and ignore the crappy product shots, they were a last minute request and
I shot them in the directors loungeroom using only one light and an af360fgz
to light the sheet I had to use as a background. They were to be deep
etched sorying to blow it out properly etc...).

http://ecopeko.com/ (homepage images of the kids on the beach are mine)

www.jazslings.com.au (they aren't using my shots on their (very ugly!)
website yet, but you can see a few of them here:
http://www.facebook.com/BabySling )

http://blog.agooapparel.com/ (all of the images used in blog entries from
November 3rd onwards are mine)
http://agooleggings.com/ (most images on here are mine except for the flat
lay product shots)
http://www.agoo4u.com/ (all images here are mine except for flat lay product
shots)

I have a whole stack of new stuff in the works, including some more kids
fashion spreads and my first (well-known/high end) magazine cover that will
be released in May next year (it is for a bi-annual magazine so a lot of
mileage comes from that one cover!). The magazine is LittleONE Baby
(www.littleonebaby.com.au) - there are a few shots on the slideshow/mini mag
that are mine but it is a print mag, so you need to see the actual
publication to see my work in full. These are the guys that I have been
shooting interiors for...

I have also presented a total of 6 workshops in 3 states in the past 2
months, with a similar schedule slated for 2011.

Oh, and I've finally gotten around to completing my AIPP membership and
having my portfolio approved (which thankfully, it was!), so can start
spruiking the logo and some letters after my name soon which will be great
for my credibility etc.

So what are my goals for 2011? Well, I have decided that it is about time
that I pull my finger out and win some competitions! Aiming high for the
APPA awards, as well as some Botanic Garden awards, our Lord Mayor's
Brisbane comp, and a few others that I hope my ego holds up in! I need some
"Winner of the xyz Award" under my belt to get Pentax and some others that I
am working on to take notice of me!

Pentax wise - gotta get my K-5 yet (have dragged the chain a bit on that one
on account of being so busy this month), as well as a couple of new lenses
now that I have my studio set up complete. Still deciding between wide angle
zooms, but definitely going to get my hands on some limited lenses this year
I reckon.

I also have two ebooks not far from being released and my very special
Abandoned Babies project that is taking shape nicely too...

Oh, and I have my sights set on Pentaxian.com too, I reckon I need to make
myself known in those circles - any pointers/tips from you regulars
(Godfrey??)...

Another crazy year ahead, what about you guys and girls...?

Tan.x.
