You know, this is one of my big problems with culling and editing. If you couldn't shave with it's sharp edge, I don't want to accept it into the "accepted" shots. I guess I should state up front that 99% of my shooting is race cars on track (the other 1% is track workers, where my failures usually boil down to not paying enough attention to the current settings for the automation). Back to the plot ... there are a lot of shots (in that cars-on-track-at-speed genre) that aren't tack-sharp, but are nonetheless worthy. But I have a really hard time recognizing them. Any suggestions on how I go about training my "eye" to that part of the spectrum? To let loose of my "engineers view" and engage my "Picasso-distortion-field" view?
