you can upload from LR3 directly to a number of photo hosting sites, probably including Photobucket. It's not something I've done because I have my own website, but you should be able to find the details through Help. If you decide to get your own website it's trivially easy to post to using Lightroom, provided you know the ftp details, which your web host will tell you. LR galleries don't take up much space, so the hosting costs are negligible.
