Didn't see anything being built higher than three stories where they were still using bamboo scaffolding.
Buildings higher than that, they used steel pipe for scaffolding, substituting pipe clamps for tying bamboo. Same style of structure, using new materials.
And the real HIGH-rise buildings appeared to be using the same western methods of reinforced concrete construction I'm familiar with.
