I have been using nothing but my 50mm (shooting film) for more than a year now. Not something I made a conscious commitment to do, it's just how I find I shoot anymore.
I would love to have a rangefinder for my walk-around camera. But, like you, budgetary constraints prevents me, though I've been looking real hard at the old Olympus XA or Canonet.
