It's a great lens- excellent flare control; actually, the flare control is one of the best I've seen. Sharpness: well, I regularly blow-up my shots to 12x15 and have no problems with sharpness. Distortion: No, none whatsoever. Or at least, I've never noticed any. Light falloff: evenly distributed across the image Great build quality- like the proverbial brick outhouse. Very heavy; works great on a PZ1p, over balances on a MZ-5 Built-in filters? Not much use to me as these are used for B/W work (yellow/orange/neutral) but nice to know they're there.
Any negative points? The method of shifting (you rotate a ring on the lens and this is usually pretty tight) takes getting used to. Almost pulled the lens out off the camera a couple of times! I have a couple of Zuiko shifts and prefer their push/pull method of shifting- more instinctive, somehow. Is it worth paying $730? Your decision, I think.
