You're right at twice your cost, if you mat and frame. I charge
about five times my cost for prints if I don't matte and frame --
or $25 for an 11 x 17. Those are generally pics of the cars I
shoot for magazines. I've found that charging more just reduces
the print order, and I end up making less money overall.

Paul, i felt the same way. I tried to keep my prices a bit on the
low side and go for volume. Unfortunately that knob was broken. The
volume was in web removal not prints as i have mentioned before.

My Dad always told me to charge 2.5-3.0 times cost.

He was a banker so i trusted him.

4x6's=$6.00
5x7's=$15.00
8x10, 8x12=$25.00
11x14=$35.00

The way I understand it from my class, the 7x markup if for the smaller prints and the 4x markup is for larger prints.
