First of all, thanks to all who looked and commented.

Second, Judy and I are in a common law relationship, so yeah, we're
married. We intend to "make it legal" sometime in the not-so-distant
future. What you see on my finger is my "common-law wedding ring".

Long story short, when we resumed co-habitation back in April after a
year apart we had wedding rings that we bought for our (undetermined)
wedding day. Then we saw rings at a store that we liked much more, so
we decided that they'd be our rings for when we have our civil
ceremony. We decided that our "old" wedding rings would now become
our "common law rings" in the interim. We had a private (as in just
the two of us) little ceremony and exchanged the rings.

cheers,
frank
