I also found the K-7 a back-and-forth camera compared to the K20D. In fact I never bought it. Compared to the K20D, its drawbacks were the dustier and flatter look of its pictures and the worse placement of buttons on the back, all clustered on the right of the monitor. Worst of all, the damn LV button!
Yes, the user interface remains unchanged on the K-5 (I still like the K20D better), but the IQ improvement is so huge that everything else is forgiven.
