Similarly, my first job was cutting grass. But it was almost 20 years later. I got $50 a month to keep a three-acre neighborhood park mown. Next job was at the newspaper, doing a short column M-Th mornings that had the youth league football, baseball, basketball, and soccer scores, and the adult bowling leagues. My third job was as a "trap boy" at a gun club.
