Blog is a shortened form of the portmanteau "weblog", basically a diary posted to the web. I haven't been nearly so active on my blog lately: http://lrc.livejournal.com as so many more of my friends are on facebook. It's frustrating because LJ is a lot better for in depth writing and discussion and FB is oriented more to the twitter and text generation than the usenet generation. While I spew a lot of photos to my flickr account, I try to put only the best ones in this collection: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ellarsee/collections/72157612824732477/ With separate sets for the best shots of each month.
