Thanks for the comments, folks - just reportage...
It really was of very little problem after two days - in Manhattan - in
my neighborhood. On New Years eve day
I went to the Central Park Zoo... travelling mid-town was no problem at
all , except it started to get crowded with
fools heading to Times Square to celebrate .. However , the garbage
pile-up is not nice.
