Pentax does not sponsor GFM. It is sponsored by GFM. The regional Pentax Rep volunteers to help coordinate it and kind of plays host to the Pentax users who come to it. I haven't been to one yet, but plan to be there this year. I understand that far more people than a dozen or so Pentaxers show up every year. There are even (gasp) Canon and Nikon users there.
