Sorry to be late here.

John, few points:

1. Given that you do it for a friend be sure to warn them sufficiently
many times that you're not full time wedding photographer. You sure
realize that if things don't go as planned, you may have a big problem
on your hands (friendship-wise).

2. Having moved from K10D to K-7 I should tell you that it took me
about a month to fully accustom myself to all the changes. I routinely
shoot every weekend but that time I remember that we had a long
weekend trip to Galilee where I was shooting much more than usual. The
main difference I recall is that of operational timing. K10D feels
relatively slow compared to K-7 and I missed number of moments simply
because I tripped the shutter at the wrong time. I expected a slight
delay and it fired immediately.
