Hi gang, i'm sure you all have had enough but i just thought i would share a few first impressions.
Set up was a breeze, just follow a few pop up windows and done. I had my iBook on at the time, in case i needed to access something and i noticed in the finder screen under devices, my iBooks G4 showed up. Huh. Screen clarity is just marvy. LR and PSCS loaded just fine, i had to install Rosetta for PSCS. Fetch loaded just fine, although i have not put any of the edit programs to a really proper test yet, they load and load photos so that s a start. I have to still check out the Epson 2400 will work properly with LR and PS. Wireless mouse is just marvy. I now have right click, which i could never figure out on the touch pad of the iBook, if there even was one. Finally am able to get rid of the ancient old secretary desk i had the PC on in the dining room. My son in law gave me his old desk, about 1/2 the size, so the desk computer combo looks really nice in Erins old room. Only nit so far is the download speed seems a bit slower than the iBook through airport. Still need to access print to screen to see if i need to calibrate. I know with the iBook it was pretty dam close, nothing i was going to worry about. I just have to look at PSCS on the laptop and see how i set my colour spec's up. I forgot I'm happy, so far, Dave PS boot up on the old pC was in the 2-3 minute range, this one, 10-15 seconds.:-) -- Documenting Life in Rural Ontario. www.caughtinmotion.com http://brooksinthecountry.blogspot.com/ York Region, Ontario, Canada -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
