The Z1p is a wonderful camera for macro work and Pentax macro lenses
are as good or better than any others you will find. I use my Z1p for
macro all the time. The viewfinder of the Z1p is excellent for manual
focussing and the auto focus works well also. The user interface
allows one handed operation while you use the other to control your
subject. Have you tried using the Z1p with a Grip Strap? I have one
I'm not using at the moment (though I don't want to get rid of it) if
you'd like to try one for a while (I'm assuming you are in Melbourne
and not elsewhere in the country). Even if I bought myself 2 new
MZ-S's I'd still keep a Z1p for macro use.

Having Nikon or Canon printed on the front of your camera will not
improve your photography. Though I can find you lots of salesmen who
will tell you so most of whom shut up when I pull out the Z1p with the
FA100f2.8 macro.

The Z1p is too difficult an item to move on the second hand market in
Melbourne, if you must get rid of it try advertising it on the list
(overseas transactions aren't difficult).

Any of the camera shops will order in Pentax stuff for you. I've found
Michaels to be very helpful, but ordering from a mail order shop like
B&H or KEH is probably your best bet.
