These were amazing and really told a lot -- which of those areas are
closest to you , Tan?
John - the thing about yours was (only in terms of understanding how bad
the flooding was) that if you didn't know
what the area looked like before - you couldn't tell (in some of them)
just how deep the water was or how much wider a river was than before...
the breaking of the river walk , therefore, stood out strongly as one of
the best of the photos to get the story across.

First hand news is always the best.
We passed though Brisbane last year - only there for half a day on our way
north and were mainly around the Art Gallery and South Bank. I wonder how
the South Bank 'beach" has fared.
