but as to your "we had snow too" line -- big yawn...;-) I mean, like, 49 states had snow! Wonder if the folk on the list that don't live in North America knew about that odd bit of weather news.

Well, the "news" for us (Mississauga, near Toronto, Ontario) is that any fell at all. Very unusually for us there hasn't been very much snow this year while the US and other parts of Canada have been clobbered. We generally get lots of snow, but we've only needed to get out the snowblower a couple of times since Christmas, and there was basically no snow up to that point.
