This was one attraction of the Sony DSC-R1 for me. It's articulated screen would lay down on top of the camera and allow it to be handled much like a TLR with waist level viewfinder. I liked that design much more than the current vogue of articulated screen that hangs out on the side of the camera for waist level viewing, but it does have its impact on the size and shape of the camera. (The R1 was a very fine camera with a couple of fallibilities that made it mostly useless for my shooting.
