And actually , I posted a query mainly about other stuff regarding the Pentax gallery
.. and it morphed into the debate about needing models releases

I did precipitate it by quoting what I read on the Pentax Gallery faq... which was this:
.......
" In my original post....
I'm preparing some stuff to load... while reading through the faq I came up with this line

"It is the sole responsibility of the submitting photographer to obtain a written release
from any _recognizable_ [emphasis mine] person in a submitted photo."

Just so ya know I wasn't just being paranoid about the model release thingy a couple of weeks (or more) ago. "
.........................

That's what I wrote.. and the last line joking a bit about being paranoid was referencing an earlier comment someone made about having lots of photos up there of people and never having a problem with it.

I"m just sayin :-)

I'm done with that conversation because obviously no lawyer I've ever spoken

Uh huh.

So you start off with a post here, ostensibly asking for information.
But when the information you get doesn't agree with your pre-conceived
opinion, you post a snide comment suggesting everybody else must be wrong.

I guess you can't teach those who don't want to learn.
Ann posted first. Elizabeth was one of those who answered. She offered her
opinion, supported by personal experience. I think she just decided that she
didn't want to continue debating the issue.
Paul

Ah. In that case, I apologise.
