There are volcanic rocks on the beach, so I guessed Hawaii or Galapagos. Then I realised there are probably hundreds of islands like that, so I clicked the blog pic for a larger version hoping for more clues. According to the caption on the larger image it's Keawakapu beach, Maui island, Hawaii. :-) Enjoy yourself, Dan! Looks wonderful there.
