Oh for cryin' out loud. How can we get this "equipment doesn't

photos of the Fuji X100?

Better equipment won't make you a better photographer, and one can
argue that equipment that is too good at doing everything
automatically can interfere with you becoming a better photographer.
And while a good photographer can get great pictures with almost any
gear, especially if you aren't overmuch worried about minor details
like sharpness, the right equipment can allow almost anyone to get
clearer photos under difficult lighting situations.

Blasphemy and heresy... Force is weak with this one, dark his path will be, empty his bank account he will.. /big grin/

Larry, I reckon the major difference (up to my English) is between wanting something (say, Golf VR6) and needing something (compact box to drive kids to school and do groceries)... Also, undeniably, humans are social animals and decorations that one applies to oneself are indicative of one's social dynamics...

So, there is nothing wrong in both wanting Fuji X100 (or Pentax K-5 for that matter) and realizing that one does not really need either of these toys.
