I also wonder what your shooting specs were.  I got a Sundog photo back in 
December of 2008 and I shot it at f5.6 and 1/1500 sec - so at that fairly-wide 
aperture... no dust showed.  Looks like you went for a teeny-tiny aperture, 
which always ends up with those sharp impressions of the dust.  :-(
