Good thing you got the next day site repair for the computer and you never
know as someone else wrote perhaps it is nothing major on the camera.

I believe I am going to bite the bullet sort of speak and get the K-R. I
like what I see about it and like the pictures I have seen and I know that
not all were taken with the kit lenses but until I have some spare monies
the kit lenses will have to do.

These are the lenses I have been eyeing for potential purchase way on down
the road or perhaps I will get lucky and come across someone that have
duplicates of these lenses.

Super-Takumar 55mm f=1:2/55 lens
Pentax 50mm f/1.7 SMC-M
Pentax KA f2.8 28mm lens
SMC Pentax 100mm F4 Macro
SMC PENTAX-FA 1:2.8 50mm MACRO
SMC Pentax 30mm F2.8

I've decided to beat toshiba using their system. I ordered a 4 year next
business day on site repair warranty extension and I will have them come
back as many times as it takes to fix it. and if it happens again a few
months later i will call them again. only language controllers will listen
to. and if that means i will go through ten keymats a year, so be it. I
can't work with a screeching space key.
let alone all those other keys...

as for another brand, I think they're probably just as bad. I'll either
stick with Pentax or buy a Nikon D7000 or say fuck it and get a Canon T90...
