First it took me an hour and half to get home (normally if traffic is okay
20 to 30 minutes) and I slide a couple of times from all the snow we have
gotten this afternoon and now I have a slight head ache. The reason I
mention all that is I hope the following makes sense.

My K-R, that is to arrive tomorrow afternoon, supposedly has the same issue
under Tungsten Light. There is a filter that I came across on the internet I
believe it was an 80a that causes Tungsten light to be more natural light so
I wonder if that would help with the issues of the FF.

At EV 3 and below with tungsten light, the K5 will front focus with screw
drive lenses. With SDM lenses, the AF seems to work as advertised, or at
least it does with my camera.
With screw drive lenses, my camera front focuses quite badly.
It takes a pretty particular set of circumstances (dim warm light, and a
fast screw drive lens used near wide open and a short subject
difference) to see it.

There is a lot of noise about it on PentaxForums, which is pretty typical
for them.
It's kinda Hysterics R Us
