Cotty, Mark, Eric, There is a difference. But it seems that digital is forgiving. Enough, anyway. Similar to being a stop or so off with C-41. Easily dealt with.
Still, I think that the problem may not always be so severe. I looked once at an A50/2 and the M50/2. The arm appeared to be identical. (But memory could fail me on this.) Perhaps with different focal lengths it is more significant. With the 28mm it seems to work fine.
