I have no problem with switching charities.
The one you mentioned is a highly rated charity in it's field:
http://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=search.summary&orgid=3597
However, it's CEO makes over $800,000 a year. It is a huge institution.

Two charities that charitynavigator rates higher in that field are:
The Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research
http://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=search.summary&orgid=3597
(CEO makes $185,000 or 4.4% of expenses)

CURE Childhood Cancer
http://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=search.summary&orgid=9601
(CEO makes $146,000)

I think we could have a greater impact upon a relatively smaller charity.
My 2 cents.
