If you prefer less contrast then you might try our Nikodemus. A model of
a low-contrast cat: all black at first sight, but if you put him in
bright summer sunlight he's reddish with the merest hint of a tiger
pattern. 

Still think you've done fine with your high-contrast example. :-)
