The subject matter is complicated enough. What's more complicated is
that I only seem to be able to take interesting pictures on the road,
these days.
I like the shot, Tim. Well seen and framed.
i like the photo; i could put that on the wall and notice new things
every time i looked
while i really enjoy photography on the road, i'm in my own process of
realizing that i have endless subject matter within a few steps;
perhaps it helps that i live in a very urban place, and that i have
made my own yard a chaotic landscape experiement, but i think it has
more to do with my head than with my environs
That's a key point right there: all in the head. It takes practice to
see new things in an old familiar environment. I keep toting my camera
along on my daily dog walks. Quite often it happens that I don't notice
anything and I return with no shots at all. That often happens when I'm
preoccupied, not surprisingly.
But sometimes I go out and come back with 150 frames to go through --
exact same location, same route, same surroundings. Maybe different
light? Certainly different attitude.
