I had one of these for a while a number of years ago, and I don't think it was as good a lens as either the K 135/2.5 or the M 135/3.5 (or the A* 135/1.8). If I remember correctly, I thought the contrast was a little low, and detail was a little lacking. It wasn't the worst telephoto I've ever owned, but, well, I don't own it any more and I don't miss it - <g>. Come to think of it, if I remember correctly, this lens had a fairly low number of elements and/or groups, perhaps hinting that Pentax did not put the brunt of the entire engineering staff behind this one...
