Lucky you, Ann.

Here zoos are always crowded when we visit them, i.e. the weekend. Only rarely it happens that we're on vacation and then on the workdays the crowds are relatively smaller...

Thanks, Boris (and anyone else I didn't thank who likes em )

In addition to it being winter, there are not many folk in the zoo on a
Monday - and when I go I stay away from the ones that are getting fed,
mostly. Very often I'm shooting through glass instead of wire.. and one
is in the "cage" with the birds in the tropic zone . The zoo
in Queens wasn't even crowded when I went a few months ago. I would
never go to a zoo on a weekend or during Spring Break .
Having joined the Wildlife Conservatory I can go to 4 zoos and the
aquarium for the price of a years membership which I
got at a deep discount - $55 US. Considering it cost $16 just to get
into the Bronx zoo once (except for one "pay what you will day")
I'm getting a lot of shooting ops for very little money.
The Queens zoo is in a park near a science museum which is good because
most kids want to go there ... it is also very small.
But there are no cages in the traditional sense... thank goodness for
the critters as well as for the observers.
